User wg9s offers several current SeaMonkey builds from latest source for WINDOWS, MAC and Linux.

SeaMonkey 2.53.2 is the new successor of 2.53.1, German version works fine for me on WIN, English Version and other OS not (yet) Tested by me.

Reports on Expereience are welcome, but please be aware that you use those builds on your own risk. I recommend to create a backup of your user profile before you start testing those builds.

User wg9s offers several current SeaMonkey builds from latest Source:  SeaMonkey 2.53.1  | SeaMonkey 2.57 | SeaMonkey trunk, all for WINDOWS and Linux.

SeaMonkey 2.53.1 is the new successor of 2.53, English version works fine for me, German Version caused some problems at the beginning.

today I switched from Build 20190329130005 to latest available Server Installation of unofficial (by wg9s) en-US SeaMonkey 2.53 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build 20190122130014 (Default Classic Theme, German Language Pack active) on German WIN7 64bit. And the first thing I saw was that message again. Strange! AFAIR I only see that on my Browser Home Page, but I am not sure.

I will ask at mozilla.support.seamonkey.

I am currently doing some tests with unzipped installer of unofficial (by wg9s) en-US SeaMonkey 2.53 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0 Build 20180902143701 (Default Classic Theme, German Language Pack active) on German WIN7 64bit.

Some first results:

  • ⚠ but all existing entries have become lost with my switch to current SeaMonkey 2.53

• Add-Ons
  • ⚠ German Language pack from Summer 2017: becomes disabled by add-ons-manager. Any known Workaround?
  • ⚠ Add-On Go Parent Folder 2.9.1.1 signed.1-signed (April 2016) does no longer work, entry is missing in Context menu for Sidebar, Bookmarks Panel

UI completely broken in 2.56a1 Trunk ⚠️️

I used a newly created test profile

So (browser-) UI looks with official en-US SeaMonkey 2.56a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build 20180119000058 SourceStamp=ae43fcf7b9ee449f0f0a573d10c93421dbe645bf || ID={92650c4d-4b8e-4d2a-b7eb-24ecf4f6b63a} (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit.

May be developers should give some advice in which area and for which builds user-bugreports currently can be useful? I doubt that testing with current (WIN) trunk can yield any benefit 🤔.

Since the day before yesterday we have SeaMonkey 2.56 Trunk builds available for testing here — for Linux and WINDOWS and Mac.

Only for testing, you will use those developer-builds on your own risk. I recommend to create a backup of your User Profile before you start testing those builds. My first experience with SeaMonkey 2.56 is that it is too buggy to be used, especially the email client causes lots of crashes.

Official 64 Bit Trunk builds for Windows available

Only for testing, you will use those builds on your own risk. I recommend to create a backup of your user profile before you start testing those builds. Please consider that it even might be impossible to use an existing User Profile after downgrade to an earlier SeaMonkey version if you have used that Profile with a Nightly.
